lucan
Submitted By Steve Coward on Monday, December 2, 2019
This past saturday we had a hwy #4 battle with our foes in green from the ever growing town of Lucan.

To me lucan means one thing, a location for hockey moms to stop and pee on the way to london but enough about that....

The game was a pretty tight match with the much improved lucan team from our last meeting. We peppered their goalie from start to finish but he stood tall and kept as many out as possible. i wouldnt say our feet were moving like they have in past games.

Oh Henry played well between the pipes kicking out one memorable pad stop near the end of the game. There was a lot of excellent passing as well. On numerous occasions the breakout was working with three or four passes from our D zone, through the neutral zone and into the O zone for a chance to score. Aven "1/2 Tonne" Tilley made the play of the game with a between the legs shot to excite the home crowd.

Our defense played a solid game once again not allowing too many opponents to enter our end and record quality scoring chances.  Caden "DJ D-man" Coward who generally plays nothing but defense most games is honing his craft into a dependable stay at home defense man.  Every team needs a player with a defense first mentality and this is the role Caden has relished. Caden picked up the player of the game.

Two practices this week and then a road trip sunday to Thedford.
