Bill Batten Gold!
The South Huron Sabres Atom Rep team played hard all weekend, going undefeated through round robin play of the Bill Batten Memorial Tournament with outstanding goaltending and a strong team effort.
The boys faced a tough Listowel Cyclones team for the gold medal game. The Sabres came out flying after receiving some extra motivation and encouragement from the Midget Rep team in the tunnel as they entered onto the ice. The Sabres scored early and with strong goaltending were ahead 1-0 at the end of the first. Listowel came back to tie the game in the second, but with under a minute to go in the game the Sabres pulled ahead 2-1 for the win.
All of the coaches and parents are very proud of the entire team!! Way to go Sabres!
