General Information

  • This is an OMHA sanctioned Jamboree and will be operated according to OMHA Jamboree regulations.
  • All teams must register one hour before their first scheduled game. At registration, each team will receive their welcome package.
  • Dressing Rooms will be assigned.
  • Dressing rooms must be kept clean and left in a respectable state.
  • All teams play three games.
  • The Jamboree will proceed regardless of weather conditions; please note that refunds will not be issued due to inclement weather.

Ice Safety

  • No players are allowed on the ice until the ice cleaner has left the surface.
  • Teams must share player benches and use one door each.
  • One rostered and approved Team Official from each team must be on the ice during each game to support fair and positive gameplay.

Game Procedures

  • Teams must complete a GameSheet prior to each game. iPads will be at the registration desk.
  • Only players and Team Officials on the approved roster are eligible to participate.
  • Game Length: 35 minutes — 2-minute warm-up, 32 minutes of gameplay (2-minute buzzer), and 1 minute for post-game handshakes.

  • Line Changes (Timed Buzzer): Play continues without stopping. Players switch on the fly at each buzzer or whistle. If fewer than four players are on the bench, the player scheduled to stay out must return before play resumes.
  • On the buzzer, players must immediately release the puck and exit the ice; incoming players enter immediately.
  • Flooding: Ice will be flooded after every 2 games. Coaches should help with moving half ice boards, nets, etc.
  • The blue 4oz pucks will be used.
  • Gameplay will be 4 vs 4 or 5 vs 5 depending on team sizes. A face-off will occur at the start of each period.
  • No scoring or standings will be recorded.
  • Fair and equal ice time is designed to ensure that all players get the same opportunity to contribute, regardless of skill or ability
  • No penalties, offside, or icing will be called
  • All games will be played cross-ice
