SHMHA Reminders
Submitted By Kim Kramer on Monday, September 2, 2019
We look forward to seeing all of our hockey families as September and hockey get rolling for everyone!

A few important reminders as we prepare to get started for the 2019/2020 Season.

Mandatory Body Checking Clinic for Bantam boys - Tuesday, September 4 6pm - SHRC

Boys evaluation schedules can be found on each team's calendar.

SHMHA will be hitting the ice with a NEW LOOK this season.   New jerseys are on order and will arrive in time for our teams to start their seasons. Matching socks will be available for purchase from the association as well as local retailers. Please keep this in mind when preparing your player’s equipment for the season.

New jerseys mean our previously loved jerseys are up for grabs!

Does your player (or parent) have an attachment to a jersey from a previous season? This is your chance to own it! We will be accepting donations to our equipment fund in exchange.

Send an email to the below address in order to ‘hold’ your jersey

[email protected]

Jerseys will be made available on a first come, first serve basis for size, color and number.

  • Donations can be made in cash upon pick up.
  • Deadline for jersey selection requests will be Friday, Sept 20, 2019

Pick up will be Sept 21, 2019 at the SHRC from 9-1.

Rowan’s Law

On July 1, 2019 Rowan's Law Act and Regulations came into force. The intent of Rowan's Law is to create awareness of concussion, change the culture on concussion and provide safe sport participation.

This requires that all participants (or guardians of participants) in South Huron Minor Hockey Programming complete a review of information and provide a signed acknowledgement form prior to participation.

Information, details and forms can be found at

***This requirement must be met prior to the start of the season. Please review details carefully.

Atom through Midget Girls will have their forms distributed and collected by coaches.

All boys (including Intro and IP) plus Novice Girls will need to submit following the online directions.
