PLAYER'S FIRST YEAR OF HOCKEY

First time registrants to South Huron Minor Hockey must provide:

1. a copy of your player’s Birth Certificate for age verification purposes;

2. a copy of a government issued ID such as a Driver’s License for family address verification purposes.

Once your paperwork is received your player will be verified, setup and your Hockey Canada key information will be e-mailed back to you for you to complete registration.

New TYKE or NOVICE-age players may proceed to register on-line in the Hockey Canada Registry by following the instructions in HCR and setting up a Family Record and creating an ID and password.

New ATOM-age or older (9+ years old) players will NOT be able to register on-line in the Hockey Canada Registry until you are contacted by the South Huron Registrar for your initial setup.

Your paperwork can be either:

NEW PLAYERSat least one parent or guardian of each player registered in the OMHA/OWHA will be required to complete the online “Respect in Sport – Parent Education Program” as a condition of their child’s participation with SHMHA. Information can be found on the SHMHA website at www.southhuronminorhockey.ca.  Look for the “Respect In Sport – Parent Program” tab and a link to follow to register/sign in.

Once the program is completed, parents/guardians are considered certified and there is no requirements for recertification.
