Rowan's Law (South Huron Minor Hockey)

On July 1, 2019 Rowan's Law Act and Regulations came into force. The intent of Rowan's Law is to create awareness of concussion, change the culture on concussion and provide safe sport participation.

This requires that all participants (or guardians of participants) in South Huron Minor Hockey Programming complete the review of information below and provide a signed acknowledgement form prior to participation.

Acknowledgement forms for each participant will be held on file by the Association.

Below you can find the Awareness Resource information as well as the Acknowledgement form that must be signed and returned.






****NOTE - if you have multiple players, we will require a completed form for each player

OWHA/Atom through Midget Girls
- Coaches will be distributing information and collecting forms

OMHA/Boys & Novice Girls(including Intro and Initiation Program) - 2 Options below 

Forms must be on file with the association prior to the start of your season. There are 2 options for families to complete this.

Option #1 - Preferred

-Complete the review of Awareness Resources located at links above
-Print, complete and sign the Rowan's Law Acknowledgment Form
-Scan form (or take a photo) and save it as 'Rowan's Law Awknowledgement Form - participant name'
-email form to [email protected]

Option #2 

-Complete the review of Awareness Resources located at links above
-Print, complete and sign the Rowan's Law Acknowledgement Form
-submit form at registration for first evaluation/skating session for your player's division
-players not attending evaluations will still need to attend in order to submit form

****Please note that no player will be allowed on the ice until this requirement is met. It is strongly suggested that you complete and submit (Option #1) prior to season start to ensure that there are no issues or delays.
