πŸ₯…πŸ’Welcome Back Sabres BBQ!🌭
βœ…(Please RSVP on Facebook link below so food supplies can be arranged)

South Huron Minor Hockey would like to welcome families of Sabres Nation back with a FREE BBQ at the Exeter Legion. Whether this is your first year with the Sabres or you’re a long time member, we want to kick off the year together on Sunday September 11th from 3-6pm.

The Welcome Back BBQ will offer you the chance to meet and mingle with other Sabre families, members of the Executive, and take in an information session about the U7 Initiation Program and U9-U11 Pathways.

Has your child outgrown those elbow pads or Sabres coat? Then bring equipment or Sabres gear you have outgrown to swap or sell, and if you wish, get sized up on new Sabres gear from local suppliers, but of course, enjoy a hot dog, or an adult beverage (available for purchase inside the Legion) and the chance to talk hockey.

πŸ€πŸ‘πŸ»Additionally, through a partnership with OMHA and the Egg Farmers of Ontario, sets of equipment for U7-U9 players will be onsite to try on and members of the Executive will be on hand during the BBQ to provide information about our Player Assist Program.

πŸ₯šThe equipment is being given to South Huron Minor Hockey through the association’s Player Assist Program, a new pilot project that was introduced in 2021 which is presented by Egg Farmers of Ontario. The program aims to help families get their kids into the sport with easier access to equipment. The sets of equipment include skates, shin pads, pants, shoulder pads, elbow pads, a neck guard and helmet. Members of the Executive will be available to provide additional information about program eligibility.

πŸ‘ŒπŸ»Please RSVP on our Facebook event to help us order food quantities:

See you there!
