My name is Todd Vodden and I am excited to lead the U9 MD1 Boys team into the 2025-2026 season playing the sport that we love together.
I grew up playing my minor hockey years in London, and Thedford. Throughout my personal and professional career, coaching and mentorship have always been present. I now have the opportunity to work with our youth in sports to make a positive impact on both the individuals and the community.
With 5 years of experience coaching Youth Hockey within the South Huron Sabres community, I’ve had the privilege of working with players of all skill levels. I’ve coached U5, U7, and U9 levels. I’ve always been passionate about fostering a positive and inclusive environment where young players can grow and reach their full potential by focusing on skill development, strategic play, and building a strong team dynamic. I am a strong believer in teaching the fundamentals of the game and instilling good habits on and off the ice that will serve players well throughout their hockey careers.
I like to create a fun and challenging environment where players can learn, grow and improve. I’m skilled at developing individual player strengths, implementing effective strategies, and motivating players to reach their full potential. Every year brings a new set of players with a new set of personalities, and skill level. My goal is to figure out the best way to lead, and motivate, and connect with each player.
We are a hockey family, managing commitments of 3 boys playing in this organization. The Rink is our home away from home. I look forward to continuing working with the young players to ensure that our culture is based on hard work, trust, respect and fun, keeping every player and family excited to come to the arena every day.
Best of Luck to all players, looking forward to a great 2025-26 season.
