Novice Rep, U9, 2016-2017 (South Huron Minor Hockey)

SOUTH HURON SABRES NOVICE REP. BOYS - ALL ONTARIO OMHA CHAMPIONS!!! The South Huron Sabres Novice Rep. boys are All Ontario Champions!  Going undefeated in OMHA playdowns starting with a 4 game sweep of the Ilderton Jets, a 3 game sweep of the West Lincoln Wrath and a 3 game sweep of the Tavistock Titans. In front of an incredible crowd of local supporters the Sabres took the first 2 home games 9-1 and 6-2 before winning the final game on the road 3-2 in overtime.  This win clinched the series and the OMHA title!

Exciting play-off action!  The South Huron Sabres Novice Rep. Boys are firing on all cylinders, with solid team play and contributions from the entire team, the boys are now advancing on to the OMHA finals against the Tavistock Titans!   Come out and show your support - The South Huron Sabres Novice Reps will be hosting game 1 on March 18th at the South Huron Rec Centre 3:20 pm start time.  Game 2 is scheduled on March 19 at 2:10 pm, also at the South Huron Rec Centre. Go Sabres Go!

In OMHA play, after sweeping the Ilderton Jets in the first round, the South Huron Sabres Novice Rep. boys continued on to sweep the the West Lincoln Wrath in the OMHA Semi-finals round.  The boys are prepared and ready to face the Tavistock Titan's in the OMHA CC West Finals!   Game dates and times are TBA at this point.    In Shamrock League play, ...

Friday November 4th through Sunday November 6th, the South Huron Sabres Novice Rep. team hosted the 28th Annual Bill Batten Memorial Tournament and won the gold medal. After five great games over the 3-day event, the Novice Rep. Sabres are proud gold medalists. Solid team effort and positional play from all the boys was the key to the Sabres success over the weekend.  The entire team contributed in this weekend’s efforts and should be extremely proud of the way they played.

On October 21st through the 23rd the South Huron Sabres Novice Rep. traveled to Tillsonburg for the annual Roy Beechey Memorial Tournament, placed second and received the silver medal.   After a hard fought weekend of games, the Novice Rep. Sabres are proud silver medalists. The boys took many steps forward as a team and in their individual game play this past weekend. Everyone contributed in this weekend’s efforts and should be extremely proud of the way they played.
