Atom LL, U11, 2013 - 2014 (South Huron Minor Hockey)

The team travelled to Parkhill to challenge the North Middlesex Jr. Stars.  Goal tending by Strang held off the Stars until the last 3 minutes of the first when they got one past him.  

With Morely starting in net, the teams went head to head.  With just over 3 minutes left in the first period, McCann scores the first goal of the game.  Strathroy didn't take long to even things up ending the first period 1-1.  

The Sabres came out strong and ready to play.  Durnin started things off with a top-corner goal.  Minutes later McCann's steady stick-handling pushed the puck down the ice to score the second goal of the period.  The Eagles knew the Sabres meant business and got to work scoring 3 goals to finish off the first period.  In the second period Durnin scores again assisted by Dickins to tie things up.  The crowd was on the edge of their seat when Alvinston scored their forth.  Parsons, Ford and E. The team was keen to get down to business against the Lambton Shores Predators Red.  With 6:37 minutes left in the first period Dickins decided it was time to get things started.  With end-to-end stick handling, he scored and put the Sabres on the board.  Starting in goal was Morley and with defence down and the Predators on breakaway, he made an amazing save.  30 seconds into the third period, Dickins shakes things up to make it 2-0 for the Sabres.  With Strang staying solid in net for the third period, the Predators were coming on strong trying to catch up.  So many great saves, but the ...
