Novice Girls C Come Up Big in WOGHL Deciding Game
The Novice Girls C have won some more hardware. The girls defeated Mitchell in three hard fought
games to win the WOGHL final playoff series.
A pair of 1-1 ties set up the exciting Game 3 finale on Saturday in Exeter. Both teams came out strong and traded goals in the first half of the game. The Sabres went ahead in the second period and then got some insurance with under two minutes to go, ending with a huge 3-1 win.
As always, the successful formula for the girls was great goaltending, fast skating and aggressive checking, short shifts, puck control and strong, hard passing.
The girls now head to the GTA for Provincials in two weeks and hope to add one more title to what has been a very successful season.
