SHMHA Executive

We are excited to welcome lots of new faces to the executive for the 2022-2023 season. Please take a look at the link below for a full list. New for the upcoming season are pathways directors for U7 through U11 on both the girls and boys side. These directors will help us all navigate the recommendations and mandates from Hockey Canada as well as the respective team leagues. The Welcome Back BBQ will be a great place to meet them!

See below for instructions on how to receive notices on updates/posts.

SHMHA executive members will be on hand at the arena during the first evaluation session scheduled for your division to answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to attend with questions even if your player is not participating in evaluations.

Volunteer/Bond Cheques will be collected by your player’s team manager and submitted together on or before October 15th. The bond remains at $500 (per player) for this season and the cheque(s) should be dated for December 1st, 2022. One shift must be completed for each registered player. Cheques will not be cashed unless this requirement is not met. ***Rosters will not be submitted for approval by OMHA until this requirement is met.

Information will be posted under the Volunteer section on the website as it becomes available. South Huron will again be hosting 4 tournaments during which you will have the opportunity to complete your required volunteer shift. Tournament dates are available online at the link below.

Association/Team Photos will be held Oct 30th. Specific time slots will be assigned and posted to the website as they are available. Forms and information will be distributed through your coaches/managers.

The evaluation process is outlined on the website and can be found at the link below.

Schedules for each division are on their respective calendars as well as on the evaluation schedule. Please watch closely for changes to times and locations. Updates (for example game rosters) will be posted to the main page for each team.

Registration and payment of the $50 evaluation fee (cash only) will be at the first scheduled evaluation skate for your division.

Evaluations are being held in various locations as per the schedule.

Players not selected for the Tier 1 (‘C’ or previously rep) team will be directed as to which schedule to follow on the website.

***Evaluation for GOALIES – Please attend both the scheduled skate(s) for your division and the Goalie session.

U11 through U18 - For those players not wishing to attend evaluations for representative teams, your first skate with the LMLL team is anticipated to be the first week of October. Please refer to the online calendars for updates.

Please watch the website for schedule, updates and changes.

Regular ice time for all teams will start on October 1st and could vary between the South Huron Recreation Centre and Stephen Township Arena.

Our hope is that all players and their families enjoy the upcoming hockey season!
