Welcome to
the 18th Annual South Huron Regional Silver Stick. We are looking
forward to some exciting hockey over the weekend. We ask all teams to review the
below information and share with players, families and spectators.
We will be using 4 different facilities during
the course of the weekend and entry requirements
can be found below. Please review before scheduled games.
****Games will start no more than 10 minutes ahead of schedule in order to allow organized entry and exit of teams*****
Teams are asked to check in with registration desk upon arrival for their first game to collect their tournament package and confirm contact information.
There is a gate fee for games of $5 for adults (students free). Weekend Passes will be available for $15.
Arena Entry
For Players (when entering to play)
It is assumed that all players born 2009 or before are fully vaccinated and that this has been confirmed by their association in order to be rostered. Players will not have to show proof of vaccination at arena entry, but teams should be prepared to provide proof of vaccination status should an audit be requested. Bench staff is expected to screen all players ahead of arrival for each game and game sheets will be used for contact tracing (a player being listed on a game sheet is confirmation of passing screening).
For coaches, parents and spectators 12+
· Proof of full vaccination (2nd dose plus 14 days) and identification will be required.
· Screening/Tracing
SHRC and STA have an electronic screening process. QR code is available at the doors or can be completed from the below link. You must show proof of completion with a screen shot or the confirmation email you receive once completed.

HEN and ZUR will have screeners at the door to confirm screening and collect contact tracing information.
Before/After games
· Please limit time spent in arena lobbies before and after games
· Players/parents/spectators can enter facilities 30 minutes before game time
· Parents/spectators are asked to leave the arena upon completion of game
· Players and coaches asked to leave the dressing room no more than 20 minutes after game completion to allow for cleaning and entry of next team
Handwashing and masks reminders:
· Masks must be worn at all times by all in attendance at the tournament.
· Players must wear a mask in the dressing room/hallways prior to and after games
· Coaches must wear masks on the bench
· If any person in attendance of the tournament refuses to comply with the mandatory mask guideline, they will not be permitted to enter/stay in the facility.
· Please use hand sanitizer upon entrance to the facility and throughout your time in the arenas. Hand washing is the best way to decrease spreading of viruses.
Note: Please be patient with arena entry process as lineups may develop. Also, please be respectful with staff and volunteers responsible for implementing covid guidelines/restrictions. No harassment will be tolerated.
