ILDERTON
Submitted By Steve Coward on Wednesday, November 20, 2019
Tuesday Nov 19th was a home game against Ilderton.  The boys showed no sign of hungover hockey from the weekends festivities.

Ilderton, i believe, opened the scoring and woke the beasts in white. The attach was in full force most of the game. Brodie "jean Claude" Vandenbussche had an excellent effort with a hat trick (maybe 4) on the night. Brodie plays his left wing position very well and loves to camp out in the slot, stick down ready to fire the biscuit. Brodie picked up the player of the game.

Lots of the kids could have got it last night. Everyone was passing, skating, back checking and working hard.

We had a chat before the game about being accountable for your actions on and off the rink. I heard one of  the boys on the bench mention that a parkhill goal might have been his fault  because he wasnt covering the goal scorer. Mistakes are made at all levels of hockey but if you can learn from them is what really matters.

We have been stressing that our team is a family for 5-6 months of the year and we have to stick together, help each other and work hard together as a team to get better. There are no individuals.

thursday at home against parkhill.  they'll be hungry but we are starving.
