Major Novice Black, U9, 2019-2020 (South Huron Minor Hockey)

On this past Saturday the boys travel to visit our arch nemesis Lambeth. It was a beautiful sunny day to go for a drive. I had the pleasure of taking 1/2 tonne and 1 tonne with me and had to hear all about letterkenny for 45 minutes. I do enjoy Letterkenny but hearing kenny talk about it like i've seen every episode was a little much. I assured him i had a few Modean stories of my own. ;>

And we were off to the place that'll make your back ache as well as your head! We had a tournament in Tillsonburg this past weekend and the action on the ice was almost as good as the action at the hotel.  I wont bore you with the details of the hotel shenanigans other than to say we are very blessed to have possible the best karaoke team in South Huron Minor Hockey. i"m sure our judge Jeff "simon" mason will agree!!

Game #1 A few weeks ago, which seems like forever the thamesford  attack came to town for an afternoon battle in huron Park.  the game did not disappoint as it ended up in a 2-2 draw. We were without 1/2 tonne tilley  for this game and the boys knew that someone had big skates to fill. It was a back forth affair with constant skating and end to end action.  

I cant think of a good intro so i'll just dive right in....what a game.  When the predators come to town you know you are in for a doozy.  From the initial drop of the puck this game was full of back and forth action. We lost the first period again which is still going to be a problem going forward till we get that figured out. Sam the silent sniper with the lone goal in the first.

StMarys came to huron park this past saturday for a huron-perth matchup that i personally had circled on the calendar. This one stung....having played in stmarys myself i always want to beat them and we came up just short. The game was riveting end to end action from the drop of the puck. It was everything you could ask for a major novice game: skating, scoring, few penalties and lots of offside. Even a pulled goalie to try and tie it up late but the hockey gods were not on our side.
