Lambton Shores
I cant think of a good intro so i'll just dive right in....what a game. When the predators come to town you know you are in for a doozy.
From the initial drop of the puck this game was full of back and forth action. We lost the first period again which is still going to be a problem going forward till we get that figured out. Sam the silent sniper with the lone goal in the first.
In the second period we played better defensively and only allowed one goal by the preds but never managed to get on the score board ourselves. OH henry Groot was stellar keeping the game tight till the boys woke up and got their legs going. The Lambton Shores goalie was up to the task as well as we had numerous scoring attempts but couldn't beat him in the second frame.
IN the third is where this team of ours really shines. Dangles regier scored a couple goals and 1/2 tonne tilley got one as well. We were up 4-3 with a little over a minute to play and we somehow allowed a 3-0 and they got the equalizer. i'll take the blame for that mishap as the boys should have been instructed not to pinch and leave a defense man back to negate that happening.
We loaded the offense for the final minute of the game and the boy had multiple chances to bury but just could come away with a winning goal. Oh henry was tested again in the dying seconds of the game and made one last stop to save our butts and keep the game tied. For his performance Oh henry was named the player of the game.
Honorable mention goes to one of our most improved players this year. Marcus the emperor played a great game as well. Its unfortunate we dont have more belts because a number of players deserved it after that game. Keep playing this style of hockey boys and you will be rewarded.
