east lambton eagles

Sunday the boys traveled the winding roads to watford for a clash with the eagles.

we hadn't had very games or practices over the christmas holiday and the lads were keen to get back into some game action.

With a full bench we came out flying in sabre  fashion, couple quick goals to start the game. Bigger ice and 5 on 5 set the table for our speed, positioning and skill to really showcase.

Gideon "the grocer" was between the pipes and was steady when tested allowing just the lone goal on what seemed like a trick shot that went through numerous sticks and skates to find the back of the net.

Four steady defensemen helped keep the shots to minimum and were effective getting the puck up to our high powered offence.

The offence was stellar as well in this sunday afternoon tilt and the goals pilled up.  There was a lot of nice passing and finishing on our end.

OH henry played forward for the second time in his illustrious career. Henry was able to use his size and chip in down low behind the goal line where the one on one battles are won.

Flipper Boyle coming off the frozen tundra for what seemed like weeks to play a complete north/south game. Dylan was able to chip in a couple goals and a few helpers. But more importantly using his wrist shot to score. His back checking was very effective as well helping out the D. Dylan earned our first player of the game in 2020!

practice tonight, practice thursday ,game saturday in ilderton at 11 am and then practice at 2 in HP saturday as well.

saturdays game will be our last half ice game!!! Then the real work begins!!!
